- INTRODUCTION
-
- Ichiban Editor is a text editor that I have hoped to accomplish before
- the turn of this century. I assume you have some knowledge of computers,
- so I offer this program as something that you can use at an inexpensive
- affordable way to beat EDLIN and EDIT.COM. With 10 windows to edit in,
- ICHIBAN EDITOR will take care of most of your needs. And it is cheap
- enough to afford.
- If you have a question first press F1 to activate the help facility.
- You may contact my by mail for technical assistance. I answer all the
- mail that I can.
- ICHIBAN EDITOR was written for the moderate to advanced computer user.
- It provides a low cost alternative to powerful bloated wordprocessors
- that try to be everything and anything to the millions of computer users
- everywhere at a cost of hundreds of dollars. I ask that you test my editor
- and see if it fits your simple text editing needs. You don't have to know
- any programming or be a computer whiz with a PhD. That is not who this
- program has been written for. It is meant for the computer user who uses
- the computer as a tool.
- ICHIBAN EDITOR requires an IBM PC or compatible with at least 320k memory.
- You can edit a 120,000 byte file with as little as 320k of memory, though
- the loading and editing will be somewhat slower.
- You also need DOS 2.0 or higher, any monitor. A printer is optional.
- Before using this program, you should be familiar with your computer and DOS.
